What an awesome hidden gem! Tucked down a little walkway is a cozy restaurant. Great spot for brunch or any time of day with lots of options. It is quaint inside, and staff was very friendly. Food was delicious. My goat cheese salad was so tasty but it only had one small dallop of cheese, and I really think it could have used more for the price and the name of the salad. It can be a tad loud when the restaurant is full, so if thatnisnt your thing, go on off hours. Will for sure be back to try something else next time.

$110 including tip. Appetizer, two mimosas, 2 entrees, dessert Quick service. Could have been because they weren't busy, but quick nonetheless. 9/10 The bread with artichoke dip was delicious. Bread could've been a little softer, but it's negligible. 7/10 The 10z was a little under cooked on the middle, but good nonetheless. 7/10 The potato cake has a soft texture and is seasoned. Not my favorite, but a personal preference. 5/10 Brussels Sprouts were low in quantity but very good. 9/10 The coconut cake was a good side for 2, but big for 1. It was good. 8/10

The food was amazing! I got the Linguine Rosa. The service was great, various people coming to your table to be sure we had everything and they filled our drinks without asking. The inside of the cafe was really nice and cozy. It was the first time I was there and would definitely go back, and if it's nice out would ask to eat outside!

After you find the Secret spot up the stairs- you will enjoy this quaint restaurant. It was our first time there- but it was very good. The presentations are nice- our food was tasty. The value is great for the region. I can't wait to go back when the weather is nice and sit outside. .

Went for brunch the day after Christmas. The entrance is off to the side of the building through steps that take you to a side entrance from the patio. We were told we'd have a 30-45 minute wait. We weren't that hungry after all the Christmas feasting so we put our name on the list. They texted us before 30 minutes. We were then seated in the main room. The interior layout was of a home. Dining areas were also off the sides of the main area. We ordered the Hanger Steak and Eggs, Breakfast Fajita Pita, the Berry Almond Crunch, and the Warm Goat Cheese and Spiced Pecan Salad with a side of bacon. We also ordered coffees. The coffees came out in small cups. I thought we'd be going through several refills. The food came out promptly. My hanger steak was cooked closer to well done than medium as I requested. And it didn't have any charred or grilled flavor. It was more like a broiled flavor. The eggs were nice and soft. The potato cake it came with was tasty as well. My sister's fajita pita came with a lot of meat and a fried egg on top. It looked great. I tasted a bit of her meat and it was flavorful, but a little on the saltier side. My husband thought his salad was ok. He thought his side of bacon was flavorful. My brother-in-law liked his French toast. After seeing pictures of the dish, he was wondering whether the berry syrup would be too much. But he decided that it all worked together well. We had several servers helping out at our table. Our coffees were refilled often and in a timely manner. Overall I think the food was decent. They had a few other dishes that I wouldn't mind trying, like the Shakshouka. Since it's not a far trek and the wait wasn't that long, I'd be willing to return. My husband thought the experience was just ok. I've heard the wait could be pretty long, but not sure if that's still the case these days. While I don't think it's worth a long wait, it's a convenient place to get some decent brunch. Service was efficient.

We're from Fredericksburg and decided we wanted to venture out of our little town and visit somewhere else for our 5 year anniversary brunch. The Secret Garden Cafe was a wonderful experience! We called ahead 15 minutes before to ensure we were able to get outside seating in the garden. We were seated at a quaint two seater table at the end. It was intimate and inviting. Our sever Diana was phenomenal the entire time and very attentive. And the food... OH MY GOODNESS, DELICIOUS. Pictured: Hanger Steak & Eggs Shrimp & Grits We will absolutely be back!

Secret Garden Café is the cutest restaurant tucked away in a lovely historic town. The ambiance can't be beat for a date night. Our server was great - kind & attentive. The menu had a lot of variety, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the potstickers! I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came out medium/medium well. It still tasted delicious. The Brussels sprouts were cooked well, but I asked for a lemon wedge to add a pop of flavor & it enhanced it a lot. Definitely recommend checking out this restaurant!
